It’s so Midwestern that several important establishments are named Ak-Sar-Ben — that’s Nebraska spelled backward. It’s so Midwestern that a pedestrian bridge spanning the Missouri River is named Bob.
Bob has its own Twitter account (@bobtbridge). Midway across Bob is the state line dividing Nebraska and Iowa, and taking a picture of yourself standing with a foot in both states is apparently called Bobbing.
